At Tree of Life, we understand that you may need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. We kindly request 24 hours notice for any cancellations or rescheduling of services to allow for others to reserve an appointment and for staffing purposes. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment with less than 24 hours notice, we reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee of up to 100% of your scheduled skincare services and up to 100% for events to cover the cost of any wasted materials and to cover the practitioner's time. If you are going to be late, please call to see if we can still accommodate you for the full service. If you are late and do not want to be rescheduled, we may need to shorten your service to accommodate our next guest. When this occurs, there will be no reduction in treatment cost due to your lateness. In all situations, advance communication is greatly appreciated, so we can take your situation into consideration and appropriately advise you of your options. We are a small business that is dependent on clients who attend their scheduled services on time. We respectfully request your cooperation and communication in advance where possible and we will be understanding in return.
For the protection of our staff and clients, the state of Pennsylvania requires that we refuse services to clients who appear sick and/or have a potential skin condition/infection without a doctor's note. We will gladly reschedule you for another time without a fee. Please call us in advance to avoid the frustration of having to be turned away in person.
We reserve the right to refuse services or shopping/browsing to any client(s) who displays inappropriate behavior. We have worked hard to create a tranquil environment and appreciate you respecting this environment to maintain such calm.
Clients who are seeking aggressive skin treatments are required to follow strict skincare guidelines before and after such treatments. We strongly recommend you utilize our professional skincare products recommended by our estheticians to best ensure your results. It is not advisable to utilize other skincare lines prior to aggressive services because you put your skin barrier at risk and may have adverse effects. Just like luxury cars require premium gasoline, luxury skincare treatments require premium skincare maintenance. We make no guarantees for the outcomes of our work when you are not compliant with our directives to achieve such results.
Pre-paid Packages are non-refundable and must be used within one year of the guidelines for the package. For clients on the monthly paid package, if you miss more than one appointment within the allotted time frame, you will lose your discounted package.
We want to help you meet your skin goals and have a no pressure sales policy to meet you where you are comfortable. We offer affordable sample sizes of products to try before you purchase a larger size. If you have issues with any products, please call us and we can advise you as to the best solution for the situation.
By scheduling an esthetics treatment, you will be required to thoroughly and honestly complete and sign a client intake form agreeing to our terms and conditions for that service. We reserve the right to refuse service for not completing these forms and/or if a parent/guardian is not present for a minor. We update these forms on a regular basis and require that our clients update us of any changes to their health before a treatment. If a minor is receiving a facial service (age 13 and up), the parent/guardian must complete the form and be present for the entire duration of the services.
If a child is present for a social event, a parent/guardian must be present. No children may be left unattended at any point. We strongly recommend not bringing a child to an esthetics treatment as it is often disruptive to the spa atmosphere. If a service needs to be stopped due to a child's behavior, the parent/guardian will be charged the full price of the service. Children are not permitted entry to adult social events/classes without advance permission of Tree of Life staff.
Store items may be returned within 30 days in new, unused condition with the exception of skincare items. You may return skincare items within 10 days of purchase for store credit. Your first skincare product will receive a 100% paid price store credit if returned within 10 days unless we deem your usage to be an exception to this policy. In such a situation, we reserve the right to refuse a return if we deem necessary. Second and subsequent skincare returns will be prorated at our discretion (at a rate of 0%-100%) to prevent customers from repeatedly using and returning.
